Sally Stower is a Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner (SEP), Trauma & Nervous System Coach.

Sally has a busy private practice online in supporting integrative doctors & practitioners in serving complex patients within Australia and overseas with PTSD, CPTSD and general anxiety & depression. She provides a psycho-biological integrative approach to working with trauma, primarily through the body guiding patients to navigate and track their own nervous system and tap into their body’s own innate wisdom and intelligence to come back into regulation and release unresolved trauma. Having had her own early developmental trauma journey and walking these footsteps, Sally is known for her capacity to dive deep creating a relational field in building trust and attunement with her patients.

Drawing on her experience working with chronic illness patients in trauma clinic settings, Sally provides coaching to doctors, practitioners and patients in identifying and navigating dysregulated nervous systems in clinical appointments and her passion of bringing awareness to the impact of the relational co-created space on patient recovery outcomes. In 2020 Sally was a speaker and facilitator at the ‘Mastering the Complex and Sensitive Patient’ Lotus Institute Mould Masterclass in Sydney and has provided presentations to integrative practitioner forums on these topics.

Sally has a strong interest in working with vulnerable communities in developing countries combining her previous corporate experience of human resource management/business management with her trauma expertise. In 2019 Sally travelled to South Sudan as a member of a small and dedicated medical multidisciplinary team, to engage in large scale health initiative for remote villagers, providing a trauma and community cultural change lens. She is on the advisory board for ‘Akougook Initiative’ in Africa supporting Dr Arik in empowering women and children in highly traumatising environments and on the ‘Art to Healing’ on ground team in Nepal supporting survivors or sex trafficking and their psychosocial practitioner teams.

Sally has assisted both in Australia and internationally in registered Somatic Experiencing® training programs. And previously worked at the National Institute of Integrative Medicine.
